Six degrees of Jewish rockstars.

OK, we know M.I.A. isn't remotely Jewish -- she compares herself to the PLO, for crying out loud.  But, like Jewish hipsters everywhere, we're pretty into her, and we knew there had to be some sort of Jewish connection.  We were right.  Leslie Fiest, former Broken Social Scene vocalist and current solo sensation, popped up in the New York Times this past weekend with a list of her favorite new CDs.  She heartily endorsed M.I.A., pointing out that she met Maya Arulpragasam when Maya was living with Justine Frischmann.  If that doesn't count, we don't know what does.  Oh right -- and Feist was touring with her own roommate, a certain Jewess named Peaches, at the time.   We have no proof that Feist herself is Jewish, but now we're looking.  Meanwhile, we've invented a game: Six Degrees of Jewish rockstars.
