Around here, we tend to be more excited about Max Weinberg than Paul Shaffer. This has nothing to do with Shaffer's role as musical director of the induction ceremonies of a certain litigious institution:, I swear. It's just the pull of the almighty Springsteen.
As of yesterday, though, we have a new favorite late-nighter. Because yesterday, Paul Shaffer presided over the Great Shofar Blast Off: in Midtown Manhattan. The winner, Kalman Feinberg of Teaneck, N.J, came away with a trip for two to Israel. And we came away wondering if anyone has pictures of Shaffer's Bar Mitzvah. (via Gawker)
