Let us all take a moment of silence for Michael Hutchence, the deceased singer of INXS. Okay, now that we've gotten that out of the way, let's replace him!
Starting Monday, July 11th at 9PM, CBS will join the ranks of reputable programming and present to us Rock Star: INXS, a reality show that seeks out a new frontman for the once-popular 80's new-wave band INXS. An honor or a punishment? We're still not sure.
In any event, Heeb Magazine reports that one of the contestants is Daphna Dove, the daughter of Germany's famed opera singer Elisa Gabbai and some random guy who helped discover the Scorpions. Daphna, we salute your dad for "Wind of Change." The Rock Star contestant, who is a legal secretary in Los Angeles, has been gaining a serious following in her local music scene and perhaps believes in too much eye shadow. Seems like such a shame to throw away a nice job at a law firm for a life spent covering "Never Tear Us Apart."
