Most of the Jewish spins on a genre of music are made by people in love with the kind of music they're appropriating. Matisyahu sincerely respects reggae, for example, and the Ju Tang Clan seem to genuinely care about hip-hop. Jewdriver, though, are a bit different. Since 1994, Ian Stuartstein and Max Bagels have been making skinhead punk for Jews. Musically, they sound exactly like the highly racist band Screwdriver. Lyrically, they sound like...well, given the number of Jewish-culture gags, a lot like this website, actually. The band even hands out bagels at their shows in case the audience wants something to throw at them. The whole thing is infuriating to skinheads—which is, of course, exactly the point.
